I recommend this book to those who like to read up on contraband and the mexican cartel business organization in mexico. Pablo Acosta, from Ojinaga, Chihuahua (a.k.a La Perla del Desierto) conrolled chihuhua's trafficking borders. The drug kingpin collected from anyone who did business there and just like any other business... it was all about increasing profits and cash flows.
The book starts off with details about earlier drug traffickers and it leads into Palbo Acosta's life, business organization, contact with Amando Carillo (a.k.a. El SeƱor De Los Cielos), Colombian contacts, his competition rivals he had to take out, and those that tried to take him out, until he was killed by the US, leaving the "Plaza" open for grabs. Really good book.
