I think it is safe to say que todos have had the hiccups before. Y que todos have heard of different ways to get rid of them too. Pero, today, I heard of a new way to get rid of hiccups.

Una prima mia (a cousin of mine) had the hiccups and it wasn't long before someone recommended a way to get rid of them. Mi hermano (my brother) le dijo to breathe calmly and the hiccups will go away. And you know what? That did not work. Then out of no where mi hermano menor (menlohog) busts out with "if you say 'purple,' the hiccups will go away." And guess what, mi prima said purple and her hiccups went away.

Believe me que this is true. I haven't had the hiccups ever since she had them (which was like 5 minutes ago before I wrote this blog) but next time I have them, I am going to say "purple" (that is if I remember).

This was definately the first time I heard of the method. Has anyone else heard or try this method before? Que otros methods have you heard about?

let me know. Alright, I have to go study for a final exam that I have tomorrow. Goodnight everyone. I'll wait for your response.

LoL.  I've never heard of the purple method.  But I have heard of a few others.  Mi abuelita used to try to scare me.  A couple of times she told me I had a spider on my back.  I was so busy freaking out I forgot to hiccup.  Sucking on a lemon or imagining that you're sucking on lemon usually works too.  A couple of weeks ago a ten year old taught  me another one... try to drink a glass of water without tipping it back & from the side of the glass farthest from you.  It's best to try this one over a sink.  pretty funny to watch too.
